Paris needs no introduction. Called by some the center of Western culture, Paris is home to numerous landmarks, among them the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Versailles, and Napoleon’s Tomb. Let’s take a look…

The famous triangle inside the Louvre.

Anyone not know what this is? The Eiffel Tower.

Images from Strasbourg, France

Strasbourg is located in the Alsace-Lorraine region of France, an area that has bounced back and forth between Germany and France many times over the centuries. It is notable for being one site of the European Parliment and as the starting point for the Tour de France (the French are very, very disappointed that Lance Armstrong retired). In all, we spent nearly two weeks in Strasbourg, save for a weekend trip to Paris.

Chateau de Pourtales, which we called home during our time in Strasbourg.

A view of the cathedral in the center of town.

Another shot of the cathedral.

Okay, I know I already returned before, but this time I really am back. I will resume the insightful, amazingly cutting edge commentary you have come to know and love during the next few days. Also, I will be posting pictures from my trip. So stay tuned; excitement looms!

I Have Returned

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006

I am now back home following my 3 1/2 week European adventure. I had an awesome time, but readjusting to Eastern Standard Time is quite unfun.

It appears that life went on here in the States during my absence, so I will of course be weighing in as I catch up on the news. And, of course, you can expect lots of photos in the coming days.
