Draft Scandal

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, who was also a high ranking diplomat in the Clinton Administration, has long claimed he was drafted by the Kansas City A’s in 1966. However, and investigation by the Albuquerque Journal determined that he was not. His response is classic:

“After being notified of the situation and after researching the matter … I came to the conclusion that I was not drafted by the A’s,” he said.

This seems like something he would remember.
